Yahoo newsgroups have always been a great way to keep informed and communicate with others on whatever your interested in, now Rick Framil has started a newsgroup for the flyers at Crow Island.
This group will give us an oppertunity to easily communicate with each other and avoid all the phone tag, if you want to see who's flying today or plan a fly-out, etc..
The first time that you use it just click on " Join this group" and sign up.

Some of the folks flying at Crow Island have been talking about forming a sport aviation club. This has been discussed and kicked about for a few months now. It is now time to get of the stool so to speak. Rob Albright would like to have a hangar finishing party this week end. So with this in mind we will have the first meeting of the club. The day will be Sunday 9-9-07 and will commence after the hangar raising at 12 noon. We would like all interested parties to attend , if you can’t make the Hangar raising (which will commence at 9:30 after any good flying time) please make the club meeting. The club will be open to anyone interested in sport aviation whether you fly or just like the idea of it. You don’t need to be a pilot or an aspiring pilot just an airhead. The idea of the club will be to promote safety, fun, and support for all members. We will need to come up with a name as well as elect club officers, discuss meeting times and general club agendas. So come one come all.

Regulations: What Every Pilot Should Know

Like it or not, federal aviation regulations are a fact of life. That's why you shouldn't miss ASF's newest live seminar. Get answers to commonly asked regulatory questions and insights on the real-world intersection of rules, common sense, and safety.

You'll learn ways to stay up-to-date on regulatory changes, some important rules that don't show up in your FAR/AIM, and simple methods for reading-and understanding-complex regulations.

A special feature of the seminar is a Q&A session with an AOPA Legal Services Plan attorney, so be sure to bring your aviation-related legal questions!

It's not really a cafe', just a small table with a few chairs around it, but I did drink my coffee there.
