The Bunkhouse


They had a bunkhouse next to the runway, it was not the Ritz-Carlton, but it worked out very well. At $15.00 a night you could not beat the price. The folks at the fly-in were great, they took good care of us.

2010 Crow Island Fly-in Picnic!


Our flying club, Crow Island Aviators, is hosting their annual POT-LUCK picnic 10AM till Dusk Saturday August 14th, rain/wind date Sunday August 15. For those who are interested in learning to fly, introductory flying lessons will be available. We have a small sandy beach on a spring-fed pond which is great for the kids. There will be hotdogs and hamburgers available. If you’re planning on attending, please bring a pot-luck item to share with everyone; appetizer, salad, chips, favorite beverage, etc (and perhaps a chair or blanket to sit on). We should know by Friday the 13th whether the event will be hosted Saturday or Sunday so check our website www.flytrikes.net for the latest info. I’ve enclosed directions, from 495 take 117 east about 6 miles then follow the enclosed map to Crow Island which is located on a small private airstrip in stow, MA.

Air America Winter Ops Update

Anyone interested in some winter flight training? Tim Sullivan will be offering flight instruction in sunny Davenport Florida. Tim planning to be at Wallaby Ranch from the 15th to the 20th of February. March days are going to be 16th thru the 19th. In April from the beginning of Sun-N-Fun on the 13th until the end of the show on the 18th.
