WOW! I found this one on Dan Johnsons website. Apparently there are some very talented people involved with this project. They plan to unveil this amphibious LSA at Oshkosh.
Dennis Baker no longer has to leave an hour before the rest of pack. He replaced his very slow flying Gibo Butterfly wing with a new Airborne Streak 2B. After the wing was test flown, Dennis took it on its maiden voyage to Taunton Airport for LSA Day. He had no problems keeping up with the 912 trikes or Robs Cub.
Yikes Trikes! This is one of the 4 LSA trikes that attended the show.
This particular one is an Airborne XT 912, it is owned by Tim Sullivan, the man who put the event together. Thanks to Tim, the event was a big success.
The word that really describes this bargain priced LSA best is, "Awesome!"
The Sportster is manufactured here in Massachusetts by, Warner Aerocraft of Beverly.
I love the lines of this one, it reminds me of an old Ryan STA from the golden age of aviation.
If you want one, you need to order it soon because they are selling like hot cakes, whatever that means.
Ski Jump Runway?
The Sport Cruiser is an all metal, Czech built LSA equipped with a 100 HP Rotax 912S powerplant.
This aircraft belongs to Northeast LSA, based at the Hampton Airport located in Hampton, NH, where they offer flight training and aircraft sales.
The # 1 selling Ct LSA from Flight Design USA now has a new model the CTLS. This model features a longer fuselage, composite landing gear and various other improvements. After looking closely at this aircraft I can understand why it sells so well.
This nice looking LSA (Evektor Sportstar) flew all the way from Allentown, Pa. to be at the show on Sunday. I guess he wins the shows coveted LSA Day Cross- Country Award. Just kidding there's no award, but we were glad to see him fly up for the show.
This meticulously cared for Rans S-18 was one of the 5 aircraft to fly to the show from Crow Island. This is a wonderful
LSA for those who want the open-air experience and unlimited visibility.
A great looking kit built Kitfox flew in for the show. There are many examples of the Kitfox and its predecessor the Avid Flyer that have been homebuilt over the past 20 or so years.
Other factory built aircraft that come from the Avid Flyer lineage are the Eurofox and the Apollo Fox.
The Sonex is an all metal kit built LSA that can be powered with a variety of engines from a 80 HP 2180cc Volkswagon to the 120 HP Jabiru 3300. It features A clean aerodynamic shape and basic, light weight construction.
It was nice to see some of the more economical kit built machines at LSA day.

Rob called today from Colorado, he wanted me to let the CIA crew and everyone
else know that his band will be playing saturday night at the Collings Foundation in stow.

Bob Collings will be giving a tour of the vintage aircraft and autos to the
first 100 people that show up at 6:00. Robs band (Final Approach) will start at 8:30.
